The Director of Worship Ministries will lead the worship arts ministry, including musicians, vocalists, and production/technical team leaders.
The Director of Worship Ministries will:
Be the primary leader for weekend services and rehearsals, providing direct oversight for production/technical teams.
They will oversee music for special events and outreach.
They will provide spiritual direction, pastoral care, and discipleship for worship arts ministries at Bergen Park Church.
They will provide oversight to a diverse team of musicians, technicians, and A/V specialists, while using Planning Center, Church Community Builder, ProPresenter, and other software.
Be responsible for developing worship services (in cooperation with the Lead Pastor/Executive Pastor) that are God-focused and gospel-oriented, and that complement the preaching of the word.
Organize, schedule, lead, and develop teams (skill & heart), focusing on discipleship and care for volunteers.
Cultivate spiritual depth by intentionally introducing new songs and strategically utilizing hymns/songs, Scripture, and prayers that are theologically rich and Christ-focused.
A Strong Candidate Is:
Spiritually mature (a growing person and disciple of Jesus).
Biblically adept (a person who knows the Bible and the God who inspired it).
Well-read and well-spoken (a person who continues to learn and share learnings).
A person of Christian character (a godly person who is being sanctified daily).
Pastorally sensitive (a shepherd who cares for others in their pain, joy, and struggles).
Discipleship-oriented (a person who is dedicated to leading others to Christ).
Musically gifted (a musically competent person who understands the basic mechanics of music theory, composition, arrangement, and performance but who does not necessarily need to be the best musician on the stage).
Experienced (a person who has at least 3 years of experience and ministry education by way of mentorship, formal education, or the equivalent in ministry hours).
Faithful, available, and teachable.
